Terms of Service

Version 5 · Effective 2026-05-28

1. The Service

GlideOver is a consumer package-forwarding service for residents of Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, operated by Carfuze Corporation, a California corporation. We maintain a mainland US warehouse where you can have packages shipped, and we then forward those packages on to your home address in Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico. We photograph and store incoming packages, handle customs paperwork where applicable, and ship consolidated outbound loads on your behalf. Throughout these Terms, "GlideOver", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Carfuze Corporation d/b/a GlideOver. "You" and "your" refer to the account holder.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you sign up, and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account, including anything shipped to the mainland address we assign you.

3. Identity Verification (CMRA / PS Form 1583)

GlideOver operates a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA) registered with the United States Postal Service. Federal regulation (39 CFR 111) requires that we collect a completed and signed USPS PS Form 1583 from every customer before we may accept any mail or packages on your behalf, including two forms of valid identification (one photo, one address). By creating an account you agree to complete PS Form 1583 promptly and to provide accurate identification. We cannot release packages until verification is complete. We may also use third-party identity verification vendors (currently Didit) to confirm your identity, perform biometric face-match, and screen for sanctions and politically-exposed-persons status.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GlideOver only for your own personal, non-commercial-resale forwarding needs. You will not: (a) use your account to receive or ship anything for an undisclosed third party; (b) impersonate another person or use false identification; (c) attempt to use GlideOver to evade carrier weight, hazmat, or declared-value rules; (d) introduce viruses or attempt to interfere with the service; (e) use the service for any purpose prohibited by applicable law; or (f) ship any item listed in Section 9 below. Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

5. Compliance Representations

By using GlideOver, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are not named on the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list or any other U.S. government restricted-party list; (b) you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions; (c) you will not use GlideOver to receive or forward any item to or from any sanctioned party; and (d) all information you provide in connection with identity verification is accurate and current.

6. Payments and Plans

GlideOver offers Free, Plus, and Premium plans with differing free storage windows and margin rates. Paid plans are billed monthly by Stripe. Outbound shipments are charged per-package at the rates shown in your dashboard at ship time. By adding a payment method, you authorize GlideOver to charge that method for storage fees, shipping, plan subscriptions, and any carrier surcharges or adjustments without further prompt (autopay). All charges are in U.S. dollars (USD).

7. Storage, Billing, and Abandonment

Each plan includes a free-hold window starting when the package becomes visible in your account: Free 14 days, Plus 30 days, Premium 60 days. No storage fees accrue during the free-hold window.

After the free-hold window, storage fees of $1.00 per calendar day apply to each unshipped package. Storage fees are charged to your card on file on a recurring monthly cycle anchored to the date your first package crossed its free-hold window. Cycles totaling less than $10 across all your pending packages are carried into the next cycle. Anything still accrued when a package leaves your account (ships, bundles, returns, or is abandoned) is folded into that exit charge.

If a monthly storage charge fails (declined card, expired payment method), we will notify you, suspend further pack-time charges while your account is in a failed-payment state, and resume billing when the payment method is updated. Packages still arrive and are received as normal during this period.

Packages may remain at our warehouse for up to 180 days from physical arrival. On day 180, the package is automatically marked abandoned and any remaining accrued storage fees are charged to your card. The maximum storage charge per package is $166 (Free), $150 (Plus), or $120 (Premium), reflecting each tier's free hold. After abandonment, the physical package is placed in our Abandoned bin for admin disposition (disposal, donation, hold, or other). Once dispositioned, the package cannot be recovered, and you forfeit any claim to it or to reimbursement for its value.

You may abandon a package or bundle explicitly at any time from your dashboard. Accrued storage fees through the abandon date are charged immediately to your card on file.

8. Refunds

Our refund policy by charge type:

  • Subscription plans (Plus / Premium). Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable for the current period. You may downgrade or cancel at any time to stop the next renewal.
  • Storage fees. Non-refundable once charged, but accrual stops immediately when the package ships, is bundled, or is abandoned.
  • Outbound shipping charges. If we fail to ship a package you paid to ship (label error, in-custody loss before label print, our operational error), we refund the full shipping charge to your original payment method.
  • In-custody loss or damage. Liability for loss or damage while the package is in our custody is governed by Section 11 and is capped at the lesser of declared value or $100, unless you have purchased Package Protection.
  • Package Protection claims.Approved claims are refunded to your original payment method, typically 5–10 business days after the carrier approves the claim. Denied claims receive no refund. Full terms at /terms/package-protection.
  • Carrier surcharge reversals. If a post-ship surcharge is later reversed by the carrier, we refund the net adjustment to your original payment method.

To request a refund, email support@glideover.co with your account email and the affected package ID.

9. Prohibited Items

You agree not to ship the following to or through our warehouse: hazardous materials outside of carrier-permitted limits, explosives, firearms without appropriate licensing, perishable goods that require active refrigeration, currency or negotiable instruments, live animals, human remains, or items illegal under US federal law or the laws of your destination state. We may refuse, return at your expense, or safely discard any prohibited item, and we may report any apparent illegal-item shipment to relevant law enforcement.

10. Right to Refuse Service

We may refuse to accept, store, or ship any package, and may suspend or terminate your account, at our sole discretion if we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with law, to enforce these Terms, to protect GlideOver or other customers from harm, or to maintain the integrity of the service.

11. Limitation of Liability

GlideOver acts as your forwarding agent and is not the outbound carrier. We are not responsible for loss, damage, or delay occurring after a package leaves our warehouse and is in the custody of the third-party outbound carrier. Recourse for in-transit loss is governed by the carrier's terms and any insurance you purchase. GlideOver will assist in filing carrier claims at your request but is not the insurer.

Where the loss occurs while the package is in our custody, our liability is limited to the declared value or $100, whichever is lower, unless you have purchased GlideOver Package Protection. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages under any circumstance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to GlideOver in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) $100.

12. Declared Value

You are solely responsible for declaring the accurate value of goods at intake or before shipment. Default third-party carrier coverage is $100 across the standard ground and air services we use. If you fail to declare value above this threshold and do not opt into additional insurance, GlideOver will assist in filing a carrier claim but is not liable for any value above carrier default coverage.

13. Service Selection

You select the outbound shipping service at the time of shipment approval. You are responsible for selecting a service whose default coverage matches the value of the goods being shipped, or for opting into insurance and/or signature confirmation. GlideOver is not liable for losses arising from your choice of service.

14. Insurance and Signature

Insurance and signature confirmation are optional add-ons available at additional cost. GlideOver strongly recommends both for items with declared value over $100. You are responsible for selecting these options before approving the shipment.

15. Package Protection

Package Protection is an optional coverage offered as a separate service with its own terms at /terms/package-protection. Accepting these Terms of Service does not enroll you in Package Protection; you opt in on a per-shipment basis.

16. Customs and Export

When a shipment requires customs paperwork, you are the shipper of record for the declared contents and values. We prepare paperwork on your behalf using the information you provide; you warrant that information is accurate.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLIDEOVER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DELIVERY WILL ARRIVE ON ANY PARTICULAR DATE.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GlideOver, Carfuze Corporation, and their officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your shipment of any prohibited or illegal item; (c) your misrepresentation of declared value, contents, or identity; (d) any customs or export violation attributable to information you provided; or (e) your infringement of any third-party right.

19. Force Majeure

GlideOver is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, labor strike, government action, port or airport closures, carrier service disruptions, or war or civil unrest. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to resume service promptly when such events end.

20. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. If you close your account while packages are still in our warehouse, you must reclaim or ship those packages within 30 days, or we may dispose of or donate them. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms or fraudulent activity. Sections relating to fees owed, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and disclaimers survive any termination.

21. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

22. SMS Messaging Terms

By providing your mobile phone number during onboarding and consenting to receive text messages, you agree to receive SMS messages from GlideOver related to your account. GlideOver sends two types of messages: (1) one-time passcodes for account verification, and (2) shipment status notifications (package received, bundled, shipped, delivered).

Message frequency variesbased on your account activity and shipment volume. Typical users receive 1–10 messages per month.

Message and data rates may apply. GlideOver does not charge for these messages, but standard rates from your wireless carrier may apply.

To opt out, reply STOP to any GlideOver message at any time. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. Replying STOP does not close your GlideOver account; it only stops SMS notifications.

For help, reply HELP to any GlideOver message, visit https://www.glideover.co, or email support@glideover.co.

We do not share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS messages are sent via Twilio solely for the purposes described above. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make substantive changes, we will bump the version number and the effective date shown at the top of this page. The next time you sign in after a version bump, we will ask you to review and re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the service. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

24. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced here, constitute the entire agreement between you and GlideOver regarding the service, and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and GlideOver beyond the limited forwarding agency described in Section 11.
